And now under his direction and testing the new “King Killer” weapon has been revealed from SHIMANO OCEA brand, named “King Slasher” – the new long metal jig.
Quick Response, Variation of Actions, and Sunk Fast
This jig is developed especially for King Fish jigging. As you may know, they like the speed and action shifts of slow-fast, quick-mild and this King Slasher can make a lot of action variation by itself.
This jig’s shape is asymmetry vertically, and horizontally, and this provides a lot of varied action by rod actions.
Also, this jig can be fell down to the bottom faster than other long jigs. Therefore you can use one – two size smaller and lighter jig even in tough condition. And when you jerk this jig you can feel less flow resistance and therefore you will be able to make actions as you exactly imagine.

Fall Action
It’ll slides and falls horizontally about 3m depth, then will change to spinning fall to get bottom faster.
One Pitch Jerk
It’ll go up straight but spinning, then slides with flashing.
Combination Jerking
It’ll come up easily and speedy with flashing by spinning, then stays with flashing slides.

In this movie he makes some points as below:
- Cast a bit further than the boat and retrieve diagonally to make the jig action better.
- Basically, it’s designed for one-pitch jerk like he does in the first action
- Sometimes if one-pitch does not work use the combination of one-pitch and fast retrieve.
- As the size is smaller this jig can fit in the small bait pattern as well.
