As DUO is very popular, and their lures and jigs work well, those stocks are quite low all the time but we are having more to come within couple of months.
Now we are introducing major lures from DUO International here.
Bay Ruf Manic Fish 88 / 99 with New Colors
DUO has one very famous, iconic and unique lure named “Bay Ruf Manic”, which is heavy sinking pencil especially designed for seabass game fishing.
That creates unique move “Manic Move” with unique wave after the lure, that can attract fish very well.
This original Manic is usually used for “Bachi-Nuke” season when sand worms come up from sand and swim in night time, as Manic imitates well of them by its small but well action and with slim body.
This Manic Fish is based on original Manic, but more like baitfish-like style that has fatter and bigger shaped body but “Manic Move ” is still there.
Manic Fish 88 has 88mm body length with 11g and 99 has 99mm / 16.2g in such tight body that creates longer casting, and once retrieving starts it comes up to just sub-surface and creates very fascinating move with not-too-strong, but attracting wave.
There are new colors on lineup this year, which is called “UV Clear Lime Chart”, “UV Clear Clash” and “UV Clear Pink Silver Flash”.
Those colors are glow under UV ray like Keimura, and that can work very much especially under low light conditions such as dawn and dusk.
From slow to fast, Bay Ruf Manic Fish 88 / 99 is very usable lure for fisheaters.
Rough Trail BLAZIN 70 / 85
DUO Rough Trail BLAZIN is a heavy sinking lipped minnow for saltwater shore / offshore game.
Based on pilchard / sardine the action is adjusted and therefore imitates those major baitfish very well.
Heavy weight creates longer casting, even for further bust-ups, but swims 1-2m under the water so it looks more like “weakened or damaged” baitfish very well with the long lip.
Of course, not only for bustup hitting but it can attract fish from its strong wobble.
BLAZIN 70 has 70mm length with 20g weight, and 85 has 85mm / 28g of weight.
These also have new colors based on UV glow – “UV Sagoshi Clear Bait”, “UV Pink Silver Flash”, “UV Silver Bait” and “Sagoshi Pearl Chart OB” (sagoshi means smaller spanish / spotted / school mackerel in Japanese).
Well this research actually make me want to buy them for next mackerel season!
Beach Walker Flipper Z24/Z36
Beach Walker is a brand from DUO for surf lure game fishing, mainly targeting for flat fish such as flathead and flounder.
This Beach Walker Flipper series is a metal jig especially designed for those flatfish species, for surf game.
You can see in photo that has very unique curving body, and the line eye is actually positioned at the front bottom.
So this is basically swim as bottom-lower, and head up.
Tail wobbles and body rolls very much therefore it can be found by fish even in strong wave.
This Type Z is made by zinc, which is lighter than normal lead jig, so Flipper Z has bigger silhouette than normal Flipper, so it can appeal more and stronger in rough beach.
This light weight also makes longer suspending in water so you can also use this for slow retrieving method as well.
Interestingly this jig Flipper Z also has new UV glow based colors – “UV Hotta Emerald” and “UV Sparkle Whiting GR”. UV Hotta color is red-gold color that usually works well in low light situation, and UV Sparkle is really flashy, silver body that can attract blue runners very well.
Beach Walker Vict 105S
DUO Beach Waker Vict 105S is a heavy sinking pencil designed for surf fishing.
The long castability is there like other sinking pencil, but one interesting feature is given – small lip on front of the body unlike other sinking pencil.
Normally sinking pencil is more natural, small wobbling / rolling, but by this lip Vict swims much wider and stronger than others.
This high-pitch swing action attracts fisheaters very well.
Vict also floats quick, and keeps the swimming range well, so it can either use at shallow area as well.
The body size is 105mm and weight is 34g, with fixed weight system.
14 colors are lined up.
Beach Walker Wedge 140S
DUO Beach Walker Wedge 140S is another type of sinking pencil designed for surf game fishing.
Wedge originally has 2 different size – 95S and 120S, and this Wedge 140S is a biggest version of Beach Walker Wedge series.
However it is not only a bigger size, but has stronger appeal but well suspending in the water as it has 2cm longer than 120S, but the weight difference is only 2g.
Bigger body, wider swing, slow falling – this can be the one if you wish to have stronger action than others.
As of above, the body size is 140mm, and weight is 40g. Swimming range is varied in 0.5 – 3m depends on the retrieving speed and rod tip position.
Color variation is 16 colors of choice.
Beach Walker Guado 130S
Beach Walker Guado 130S is longer sinking minnow for flatfish at surf.
Especially targetting for bigger flatfish, high appeal big body minnow is this Guado 130S.
Slim body makes longer cast distance, and lipped body has wide wobbling action.
High appeal, targeting bigger size, very strong and attractive surf minnow is this.
Body size is 130mm and weight is 24g, with 12 color variations.
