Now this is the last one from SHIMANO Booth – Fishing Rod.
World Shaula / World Shaula Dream Tour Edition
This is the most biggest news of SHIMANO fishing rods I suppose – the best of versatile rods from SHIMANO World Shaula has added new models!!
This 18 World Shaula has been loved from Blackbass anglers especially in Japan, but the main theme of this models are “versatile”. By just one rod, you can cast lures from light to heavy, and you can even do jigging as well.
The new models are 6 models – 15102R-3, 1602SS-3, 1832R-2, 2653R-3, 2702R-2, 2750FF-2. 3 baitcasting rods and 3 spinning rods.
In these models, 1832R-2 is very interesting one.
World Shaula basically has straight cork handle for shorter than 7ft and partially cork for 7ft or longer. But this 1832R-2 also has long straight cork handle, as the image below.
This model is also jointed at the center of the rod, so despite it has 8’3″ of length the closed length becomes 130cm.
Also.. Dream Tour Edition, is the one I really looked forward to checking.
This 5 piece mobile rods are not really felt like 5 pieces, really beautiful bending curve and sensitive tip.
World Shaura Dream Tour Edition also has 3 more new models in this year – 1602RS-5, 1653R-5, 2754R-5. 2 baitcasting models and 1 spinning model.
Especially 16xx series can also switch to extension butt so you can either use for baitcasting, or offshore jigging. But you can still place the rod inside your backpack easily.
But one thing.. As of SHIMANO’s professional angler Hajime Murata announced, those will only be built when SHIMANO has orders, so they won’t stock them up and sell.
So stock won’t be lasted longer, and when everything is sold you would need to wait for half years for next lots.
