It has been past 3 months since the last Fishing Show OSAKA 2020 was on.
A lot of fishing companies in Japan had their booth with plenty of new products which excited us very much.
Today, here I inform you what we saw on DAIWA booth.
Here are some interesting new products from DAIWA.
TATULA SV TW
Here is the new 20 TATULA SV TW, firstly on sale at the last December 2019.
This new TATULA has TWS level winder and Super Duralumin SV Spool inside Super Metal Frame body. Firstly I noticed, the body size is much smaller than 17 TATULA SV TW.
Firstly, I was so surprised its weight and the body size. Comparing to previous model it is just 10g lighter but maybe because of the smaller body, I felt the new model is lighter than I imagined.
The compact body fits into my hand really well. And surprisingly, spin feeling is great. Much lighter, smoother.
As of DAIWA Staff says, body size is downsized and the spool diameter is also slightly reduced from Φ33mm to Φ32mm, but line capacity is still the same, and this new SV Spool is lighter than previous model and therefore more troubleless, friction-less and wider weight range of casting.
20 LUVIAS
Personally this news was really a big one for me. New 20 LUVIAS!
LUVIAS was long seller spinning reel from DAIWA and it has been wanted to be renewed from lots of anglers. And this, with ZAION Monocoque body!
When I had this reel, surprisingly the body is very light. I held LT 4000, which can be suit for mid lure game fishing or light jigging but comparing to the same size reels I have, this is really light. And spin is really smooth!
Although just described as this body and rotor are made by ZAION carbon, this ZAION is much different from previous model as the staff says. Much stronger but lighter material works really well, but I think the clearance inside the body, the parts balance are much enhanced from all other reels DAIWA has.
As of the image above, Monocoque Body can have very tiny inside with larger diameter drive gear and this can make stronger torque reeling than previous model.
This new 20 LUVIAS may be able to be used even for tough use, such as offshore fishing, or for shore jigging.
20 SALTIGA
No doubt, this is the biggest news from DAIWA in 2020 – 20 SALTIGA is out!
As well as 20 LUVIAS, this also has Monocoque Body, which creates lighter weight, smaller body, tidier clearance but bigger drive gear inside. This is really big change from the previous SALTIGA spinning reel.
This neater and tidier body makes much less noise and much smoother spin feeling and less powerloss. And the bigger diameter drive gear can make much stronger power to the fight against monster fish.

I actually tried the same demonstration, and I can understand how she felt. Yes, it is true!
This can mean you don’t have to weaken line tension too much when pumping while fighting, and this can control fish easier, and can make less hookout.
All the concept of new 20 SALTIGA is to break your record – and it is true.
Especially these few years DAIWA is creating drastic updates for their fishing products and those news are so exciting for us.
