DAIWA’s New Electric Reel is Much Lighter and Powerful! Seaborg 300J is renewed

Electric reel is one of very originated fishing tackle in Japan.
We have lots and lots of electric reels from multiple brands, and most of the fishing charter boats also have charging bay for your electric reels, so you don’t need to worry about the remaining battery.

Now DAIWA also announced another electric reel coming in 2021 – renewed Seaborg 300J with full of updates.

Small and Compact Body with Big Power – Light Monster

As of our past article, electric jigging is becoming famous in Japan.
Not only you don’t need to reel in, you can also makes variety of reeling speed and action, even not the high speed action that you won’t be able to make by your hand manually.

This DAIWA 21 Seaborg 300J is for lighter tackles / targets but looks like designed especially for electric jigging.
Body design has been renewed whole over, with simplified control panels. Looks become simpler, and interestingly, weight is pretty light – from 635g (18 Seaborg 300J) to 560g, which is actually lighter than SHIMANO OCEA Jigger 2000!

Because of that, you can even hold the rod and reel in hand easier and can even jerk.
But whole specs are gained than previous models – power is gained, drag power is as well.

Jog dial is really easy to operate, you can control speeds and crutch on / off just by one hand, so you won’t miss a timing whenever.

Spec and Release Date

21 Seaborg 300J only has one size, of course, with one gear ratio but it also has right handed and left handed.

Release date is announced as January 2021.
