At Japan Fishing Show 2019 many fishing companies has announced lots and lots of products, as we have already introduced some of them.
And now we are introducing DAIWA’s new low profile bait casting reel for Seabass – saltwater game fishing, already on sale ahead of the Fishing Show 2019 – DAIWA Morethan PE TW ’19.
Designated for PE – Braided Line Bait Casting Reel
As of the name PE – PE means braided line, taken alphabets from the material Polyethylene. So this DAIWA Morethan PE TW ’19 means this is the reel for PE (= braided line) with TWS system (= T-Wing System, the new level wind system of DAIWA).
Of course saltwater compatible, and the main target is seabass. The name Morethan comes from “No more than (this reel)” concept, means no other reels better than Morethan reels.
Tough, Compact and Castability
Tough concept – frames, side plate, dial set plate and housing are all full metallized by aluminium.
Compact – the size of the reel body is a bit smaller than previous Morethan PE SV.
Castability – G1 duralumin φ34mm Magforce Z spool, the light and smooth spool with Magforce Z PE Long Distance Tune break system, that changes strength of break from beginning of the cast to the end, the beginning is stronger and end is weaker, the long distance and accurate casting is all yours.
Magsealed Ball Bearing is also installed, the high water resistance ball bearing.
As of the name and as written above, TWS – T-Wing System level winder is also installed. This is the level winder system that changes position of the winder at casting and reeling, so the winder won’t disturb the line when casting.
This Morethan PE TW also has another feature for level winder – called High Speed Level Winder.
This system is, as of the name, the level winder moves faster than others when reeling.
When you use braided line, because lines are quite thin than other type of lines, sometimes line gets into spools, especially after you fight with bigger fish. By this high speed level winder the line is winded crossing lines, and it refuses line comes in too deep, so the line can come out with no stress.
Spec and Release Date
This Morethan PE TW only has one size 1000, but has different gear ratio of high speed / extra high speed with right / left handle.
