New Light and Tough concept is one of DAIWA’s main stream of developing new products. This is easy to understand, and having positive reviews from anglers now a days.
And now, Another LT concept spinning reel is out – DAIWA Lexa LT.
Toughness Reel for Tough Use like Shore Jigging, Rock Fishing
This reel has some important features like the other LT series, such as Magsealed at around pinion gear, ATD – Automatic Drag System, Air Rotor, Tough Digigear…
But the main things are the price of them, and Strength achieved by aluminium body.
At the beginning of LT concept, DAIWA produced Freams ’18 at the last year, for the entry model. This is a “Versatile” spinning reel that you can use for lots of types of fishing, but with affordable price.
And this Lexa LT’19 is, comparing to Freams’18, a bit heavier but toughened up as Freams’18 has combination of metal + resin body, especially for tough saltwater use – Shore Jigging, Rock Game Fishing, etc. Of course offshore light jigging can be the one as well.
If you are a game fishing angler – like using hard body lures, metal jigs, the metal body is very important from my point of view. I used to use both but resin body reel can be weakened by tough use, especially from Jigging.
But metal body is really strong, and you won’t feel it weakened easily.
For fresh water fishing, or just like soft plastic, or bait fishing, I might recommend Freams ’18 for you, but if you are tough user, Lexa’19 may be your best choice.
Spec and Release Date
This Lexa LT’19 is, like Freams ’18, made as “Versatile” spinning reel such can be used for lots of fishing types, has small – mid to large size such as 2500 – 6000 (of LT size, which is smaller than the previous numbers).
Release Date was January 2019 – it means yes, you can get them now!
