It’s been a month already in the new year, 2019… And the biggest Japanese Fishing Show has ended.

And now plenty of fascinating new products are announced at the show and we are here to introduce you those one by one!
The first one is the renewed spinning reel CERTATE ’19 from DAIWA here.
LT(Light & Tough) with Monocoque Body
As you may have already guessed… Yes, the new CERTATE’19 has Monocoque Body, the one piece aluminium body like Exist’18 has (Exist’18 has magnesium one piece body).
This is the DAIWA’s technology that combine all frames into one piece body, therefore the body does not need to have too much parts including screws, extra parts therefore the body is very light but still keeps high range of toughness.
Therefore the toughness is even higher but the weight is much lighter, comparing to the old CERTATE’16! Like, CERTATE’16 2510PE-H is 240g, and new CERTATE ’19 LT3000-CXH is 210g, 30g lighter with the same line capacity.
The old CERTATE’16 was tough and strong but was a bit heavy comparing to other high-end reels, but this new CERTATE’19, you wouldn’t complain to it anymore!
Smooth but Strong Reeling by Tough Digigear
By Monocoque Body, it can remove lots of parts and can make more space in the body, which means the same size body can have bigger gear inside.
And in this new CERTATE’19 it has Large Tough Digigear, which gives you stronger reeling power with toughness, but very light feeling when you reel.
Actual Water Proof by Special Body with Magsealed
Lots of reels, has its water resistance features in it, and all those companies try to improve it to actual “waterproof” level, however it was not really possible.
And now, even though the official does not literally announce its waterproof, the water resistance feature of the CERTATE’19 is becoming to actual “waterproof” level!
DAIWA has demonstrated how Monocoque Body with Magsealed resists water by placing the EXIST’18 in the water of the water tank in Japan Fishing Show and it literally showed no water coming into the body. You can even round the handle under the water with no problems!
Now CERTATE’19 also has the same Monocoque Body with Magsealed installed in the same place of EXIST’18, so you can expect exactly the same water resistance level of it.

Spec and Release Date
The new DAIWA spinning reel CERTATE’19 has size in between #1000 – #4000 #5000D of LT concept, which is a bit smaller than the DAIWA’s old numbers. Smaller numbers are for small light game fishing such as light salt water game, bass and eging. And larger one is for open water game fishing such as beach, or seabass, or even for shore jigging.
Smaller size like #1000 – #2500 will be released on March – April 2019, and larger one like #3000 – #4000 will be on April – May 2019.
