Built on New Concept – HyperDrive Design
HyperDrive Design is DAIWA’s new concept for baitcasting reels, to achieve the first feeling lasts longer.
Hyper Armed Housing body is full metal housing by Aluminium, so this tough and strong body keeps initial smoothness longer than ever.
Hyper Drive Digigear is a toughened digigear to achieve to keep initial smoothness when you purchase the reel and pinion gear held both sides by ball bearings, as Hyper Double Suppor, helps enhancing smoothness.
Hyper Tough Crutch is fully redesigned crutch system, which reduces trouble much less even for saltwater heavy duty use.
SV Spool and T-Wing Level Winder
As of the name SV TW – new 21 ALPHAS has SV Spool and T-Wing Level Winder.
As you may know already, SV Spool is the light smooth φ32mm spool, which brings out full potential of Mag Brake and enhances its versatile ability.
This SV Spool creates plenty of positive feedbacks from Japanese anglers.
This SV Spool is not actually the same as other previous models – it is a narrow spool, which can prevent line troubles more when casting.
TW – T-Wing Level Winder system gives high castability by switching level winder width when crutch is on / off so line can be released much smoother by having wider releasing area.
This also releases line smoother and speedy so it can also prevents line trough when casting.
Specs and Release Date
21 ALPHAS SV TW only has one size – 800 with mono line capacity 12lb (#3)/45-90m, which is a bit smaller than 21 ZILLION SV TW with 2 type of gear ratio, H (speed gear) / XH (extra speed gear).
Spec is just above 20 TATULA SV TW, under 21 ZILLION SV TW.
Highly cost effective but with new concept, but SV BOOST is not featured, so if you have extra 10,000 yen, 21 ZILLION SV TW can be your great choice but if not, this 21 ALPHAS SV TW can be your good choice
If more less budget? Don’t worry about it, 20 TATULA SV TW is also highly cost effective, nice reel for you!
Releasing date is this December 2020, meaning it will come out very soon!
