Recently, DAIWA releases some of next year models at December each year, and they do that this year again – with new ZILLION – DAIWA 22 ZILLION TW HD.
This is the second model of baitcasting reel with MAG-Z BOOST spool.
All for Long Casting – Heavy Duty Longcast Baitcasting Reel
This new Zillion has MAG-Z BOOST Φ34mm diameter G1 Duralumin spool like Steez A TW HTC.
This MAG-Z BOOST spool creates 2 steps of brake power, the beginning of cast the brake power is stronger with Magforce brake system, and from mid – end induct rotor changes its position and therefore the brake power is less, which gives you longer cast distance.
Steez A TW HTC has 36mm diameter but this 22 ZILLION TW HD has 34mm diameter.
HyperDrive Design – Strong, Light and Smooth New Design Concept
Of course, this new baitcasting reel concept from DAIWA is featured – Hyperdrive Design.
Target is for “initial feeling lasts longer”, Hyperdrive Digigear / Hyper Drive Support / Hyper Armed Housing (alminium) / Hyper Tough Clutch are featured.
Other Features
TWS – T-Wing Level Winder System is also featured to the new ZILLION, which is very useful feature, that changes the size of level winder for casting and reeling.
The handle length is 100mm – super long handle comparing to other baitreels.
UTD – Ultimate Tournament Drag system with clicking sounds.

This ZILLION only has one size – 1000 / mono 16lb-100m / braid #1.5-200m.
Release date is December 2021.

Hi! What bait weights is 22 ZILLION TW HD 1000 designed to cast? Possible to cast 3/4 weights oz with it? Or am I going to put too much preassure on the reel?

Well the reel actually does not have clear cast weight limit however I have used for 1 1/2oz big bait and was no issue with it. Surely 3/4 can be casted with no issue 🙂
